Expanded PTFE (ePTFE) is made by stretching virgin PTFE into a fibrous, micro-porous structure. Unlike rigid standard PTFE, ePTFE is soft and compressible, sealing effectively at much lower bolt loads. It conforms to pitted, warped or irregular flange surfaces where standard PTFE would leak. It also resists cold flow and creep relaxation better, maintaining bolt torque over thermal cycles.
Standard sheet sizes include 1500×1500 mm and 1524×1524 mm. Thicknesses range from 1 mm to 6 mm. We also supply pre-cut full-face and ring gaskets to ANSI B16.21, DIN EN 1514-1 and JIS standards, plus custom die-cut shapes from your DXF or CAD drawings. Send your specification for a quote.

Yes. ePTFE is the recommended gasket for glass-lined steel, FRP and plastic flanges because it seals at very low bolt stress — typically 10 MPa — preventing flange cracking. Kaxite expanded PTFE joint sealant tape is a 100% virgin PTFE gasket tape with a self-adhesive backing strip. It forms a custom, leak-tight gasket in place on rough, pitted, scratched, oval and non-standard flange faces without cutting, measuring or die tooling. Rated from −240 °C to +260 °C across pH 0–14, it resists virtually all industrial fluids and carries unlimited shelf life. Standard widths run 3–25 mm with thicknesses of 1.5–10 mm, manufactured in China under ISO 9001:2015 with full batch traceability.
